Hello and welcome to this edition of Brainwaves. There has been quite a lot happening this last month.
Firstly a huge thank you to all of you who participated in Make March Purple. There were many activities with individuals, in schools, workplaces and community groups and with buildings lighting up purple. The month is a significant awareness raising month and also brings in some fundraising activities.
We are experiencing a spike of requests for training and individual support. We are also noticing a focus on children with new needs. It is great that we now have a full team and am thus able to respond quickly to these requests.
I am moving on from Epilepsy Tasmania so this will be my last Brainwaves. I conclude in my role at the end of June. I have reflected a lot on my role here and have enjoyed my time and believe that Epilepsy Tasmania is a strong organisation with a fabulous team providing support to Tasmanians living with or affected by Epilepsy.
I personally thank you for all your support and encouragement to me and the organisation in the years that I have been privileged to be CEO.
